2018 Miscellaneous

These three paintings make a somewhat strange collection. 'Cerf Volant' (Kite in English) is a painting that I thought I had finished several times over! It was first finished back at the start of 2017. Over the course of the following 15 months it went back on the easel several times, each time I considered it finished once again. The painting is now at last complete. '1975 .....' was indeed painted in that year. I was cleaning out my storage rack and I was just about to throw it away when it occurred to me that I could rework the canvas instead! The last painting is unusual in that the format is a double square, a format I have not used very often and which I found difficult to resolve.
