2017 Blacksplash

In July of 2017 I almost ran out of black paint. When I went to acquire some I realised that I did not really know what the difference was between the various black pigments that are available. So I purchased a tube of each kind in order to find out. This together with a juried themed exhibition at the Musee Bruck entitled "Blanche et Noir" prompted me to begin my "Blacksplash" series.

I was a regional finalist in The Blue Sappire Artisan Series 2017, with 'Blacksplash 2'. Selected by jury from an entry of 5000 for the Montreal region.
