2015 Goodbye Ellsworth
On 27th December 2015 a very famous American painter called Ellsworth Kelly died. My painting here 'Ellsworth' was made as a tribute to his work. If you are familiar with his work you will recognise that I have created my composition from a combination of several shapes that Ellsworth often used in his work.
The Ellsworth painting brought to an end a very prolific year of painting activity. Many of the paintings I produced were not large but even so, small paintings actually take almost as much time to produce as larger ones.
