2018 Paper Work

I use a sketchbook and often work on sheets of paper (including modern alternatives such as Mylar, Yupo and Terraskin) to develop ideas, new compositions and sometimes it is simply to search for solutions, when I have reached an impasse on a canvas.

Paper surfaces are however varied, and offer a wide range of very unique responses to all media, so I often create paintings on paper in their own right, which are in my view. just as valid as my larger paintings on canvas and panels.
